Messages

Message to Convention Delegates

Brothers and Sisters,

The convening of the 35th Consolidated Convention is nearly upon us. The convention will set the path for our organization for the next five years. I believe the proper path begins with solid leadership who is committed to moving forward and building on the positive improvements that have been implemented in the last two years. Those improvements include greater financial transparency, defined financial approval practices, a commitment to growing our membership, and greater service to our local lodges through increased communication and training. Also, leadership that understands the importance of seizing the opportunities the AI Renaissance is going to offer. The construction of data centers and power generation facilities is right in front of us. While the construction of these facilities will benefit our Construction Sector, the materials and parts required will create a boom for our Industrial Sector. Leadership that is committed to pursue the work required for the building of the U.S. Navy Fleet. We must capitalize by being able to staff all this work through recruiting and by organizing all the new facilities that will be needed.

If re-elected as International Vice President-Southeast Section, I am committed to continuing our improvements to the organization’s financial practices, servicing of our Local Lodges, and growing our organization through recruiting and organizing. The success of the organization over the next five years hinges on all of us working together. We must never forget the past and always learn from it. However, to dwell on the past and not move forward together will squander the opportunities in front of us. I will not let that happen. I appreciate your consideration for support at the upcoming 35th Consolidated Convention.

Together We Move Forward,

Jeff Campbell

Testimonials

Martina Taite - L693 President

"When we talk about what it means to lead our union, we often talk about brotherhood. But Jeff Campbell doesn't just talk about brotherhood...he lives it every single day. I know this firsthand. When I needed guidance on how to move Local 693 forward, Jeff didn't hesitate. He showed up, shared his deep knowledge, and provided the hands-on support and mentorship that made a real difference for our members. Jeff has the unique ability to meet you where you are, lend his strength, and elevate everyone around him. He possesses the exact skills, vision, and dedication we need to push our organization to the next level. True leaders like Jeff are hard to find."

Heath Simmons - District 3 Business Manager-Executive Secretary

"Since becoming International Vice President of the Southeast, Jeff Campbell has spearheaded the Southeast's largest raise, $9 over 3-years, the Southeast has seen in my career which started in January 2003. He isn't afraid to try new ideas to help gain membership through hiring recruiters and continuing training for our future by hiring SAJAC District Instructors. The Southeast is in good hands with Jeff Campbell as its International Vice President."

Kenneth L Swiler - Former D194 President

"What is a Boilermaker? A Boilermaker is, A Skilled craft person, An Excellent problem Solver, A Respectful leader who is honest and responsible, A Teacher and a Student of our way of life, A Guardian of our Brotherhood. Brother Jeff Campbell has these qualities and more. It has been my Privilege and Honor to have worked beside Brother Campbell during our grievances and negotiations where he has earned my utmost trust and respect. Brother Mr. Jeff Campbell is a Master of his Trade and a True Boilermaker for life."

Ben Simmons - D455 President

"Integrity and Dedication to the craft are words used to describe Boilermakers. Those are the words I use to describe Jeff, he embodies what it means to be a Boilermaker. It was my privilege to call Jeff my International Representative. It is my honor and with great pride I now call him Vice President of the Southeast Section."

Archie Corrigan - L696 Bargaining Committeeman, Former L696 President

"I say this, from having firsthand experience with this man: Jeff Campbell is an exceptional, smart, Union man. He is approachable, kind with sharing his wisdom and guidance with whatever you need, and he will always find a solution to your problems or needs. He's one of the smartest, strongest, most dedicated, willing to fight for the Brotherhood, Union Men I've had the pleasure of dealing with. Without a doubt a strong Leader that this International needs!"

David Lawrence - Retired Director of SFEAAW, International Representative - ISO

"I am proud and honored to stand beside and be with IVP Campbell. IVP Campbell is and has always been concerned about the welfare of his brothers and sisters as he gives 100% to organize, negotiate labor contracts, and performed arbitrations for the welfare of the Brotherhood. I have personally stood with IVP Campbell on the picket line for an approximate three-month strike. During this period, IVP Campbell held his members together while gathering strength from the local community. IVP Campbell, being a history buff, has used the knowledge from some of the greatest leaders of this country to compliment the brotherhood membership.

IVP Campbell is a true brother, and his forthright integrity should not be overlooked, and he with your support will continue and move forward as your IVP."

Herman Gibbs - L26 Business Manager/Secretary Treasurer

"As a Local Lodge Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer, I have learned that leadership is measured not by titles, but by service. It is measured by the willingness to answer the phone when a local lodge needs help, to stand with our members during difficult times, to protect our work, and to fight every day to leave this Brotherhood stronger than we found it. That is exactly the kind of leader Jeff Campbell has proven himself to be.

Jeff has never forgotten that our International Union exists because of the men and women in our local lodges. He understands the challenges we face because he has walked in our boots. He knows the long hours, the difficult conversations, the responsibility of representing our members, and the weight of making decisions that affect working families. That experience has shaped him into a leader who listens first, works tirelessly, and always puts the Brotherhood ahead of himself."
